Aparents and adoptees should always keep in mind that the information they are allowed to have is often false. Until an adoptee does a search they will never know what is true and what is false. Many birth parents are lead to believe that the child they surrender will have access to the family medical history they give to the government. The adoptee and the aparents can not view the information given by the birthparent(s) if the adoption is a closed adoption. The amount of information given to the adoptive parents and/or adoptee varies somewhat but my history is a fairly reasonable example of the amount of information released to an adult adoptee. The information I am listing comes from a form called the "History of Adoptive Child" it comes from the original copy given to my adoptive parents at the time of my adoption. Some adoptee's do not have this much information.I count my self lucky because the place,the date, the time and my birth weight are listed. Here is the Origin given about me Mother English Father English - French Here is my medical Information Mother - Is in good health there are no serious diseases or hereditary diseases in the family. Age 20 years Father - Is in good health nothing is known about his family background. Age 23 years

words I have listed my medical information and origin. The rest
of the information lists skin colour, eye colour, height and weight
of my birth parents There have been
